The American Journal of Transportation covered the Silver Spike Ceremony held August 20 to mark the completion of the industrial rail spur at Victory Logistics District.
The ceremony drew Congressman Mark Amodei, Tom Burns of the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development, and Mark IV Capital leadership. The completed spur adds more than a mile of Union Pacific track built to Class I standards, connecting directly to the transcontinental main line with three run-around tracks serving one hundred acres of rail-ready land.
AJOT reports that the connection positions the 4,300-acre district to serve advanced manufacturers, distributors and logistics providers that depend on multimodal transportation, and supports continued industrial growth across Northern Nevada.
